Non Lemony

According to bc, there are essentially two flavors in the Persian repertoire : "lemony", and "non-lemony". So for tonight, we have a lemony soup, followed by non-lemony salad, and then a non-lemony rice dish, with a non-lemony khoresht*, accompanied by a non-lemony side dish. The dessert will be non-lemony, as desserts usually are.

Translated in our usual terms, here is tonight's menu :
  • Cream of celery and asparagus
  • Green salad
  • Naaz Khaatoon (eggplant in pomegranate juice)
  • Khoresht Aloo*
  • Adas Polo (rice with lentils and dates)
  • Pound Cake
* Cf. Khoresht night fever
